Chicago Bears Injury Report: Allen Robinson and Roquan Smith Limited, David Montgomery Remains in Concussion Protocol
Injuries are just part of the game, but for the Chicago Bears this season they’ve been a much bigger part than you’d hope for.
It’s no surprise to hear that David Montgomery is still in the NFL’s concussion protocol after leaving Sunday’s game early. It is a surprise, however, to see Allen Robinson (knee) and Roquan Smith (back) both limited in Thursday’s practice. We will get more information on both as the week progresses, but the hope is that both play on Monday and that this is merely a precaution.
#Bears head coach Matt Nagy on RB David Montgomery, who remains in concussion protocol:
“We just don’t have a lot that we can do. We’ll just have to wait and see and hope that each day he gets a little bit better.”

Center Cody Whitehair remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list with no clear update from Matt Nagy on his status. Both Jason Spriggs and Sam Mustipher remain out with knee injuries, further depleting an O-line that clearly remains a concern for the Bears. They really need at least one of these players to return to at least limited action soon.
Matt Nagy says that he doesn’t know if C Cody Whitehair has COVID-19 symptoms. He remains on the COVID-19/Reserve list. #Bears
