Michael is Chicago-born and was a die-hard Bears fan until 2013 when Chicago’s front office pushed Brian Urlacher into retirement.
As a form of protest, Michael now considers himself a more passive Bears fan. He watches the Bears games that are televised locally to his Milwaukee home, which is when they do not conflict with Packers games.
Michael’s personal football experience is limited to one week. As a high school freshman, his career was cut short when he broke his collarbone playing pick-up football with friends when he was supposed to be picking up his gear and uniform at the athletic center. His coaches did not ask him back when he recovered.
