Nathan Peterman hit Cole Kmet for an 11-yard touchdown pass to pull the Bears to within 23-13 of the Vikings. Cairo Santos connected on the extra point. The touchdown pass was the first for Peterman since October 2018 when he played for the Bills. Kmet has now set career highs in touchdown catches, yards-per-catch, and completion percentage.
Both teams are liberally substituting their backups. Teh Vikings are hoping to rest their starters ahead of next week’s Wild Card tilt, and the Bears are trying to get one final look at their end-of-the-bench players.
The Texans currently lead the Colts 24-14 as the watch for the No. 1 draft pick continues. The Bears are inching closer to earning the top pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
