The Chicago Bears Top Five Games of 2025

The Chicago Bears have five pivotal games in 2025 that will determine their season.

The 2025 Chicago Bears should be much better than the 2024 and hopefully by a mile. The offense has been tweaked a bit and looks promising. The defense has coordinator Dennis Allen in charge of it and should be much better than it was last season.

This could be a big year for the Bears.

While every game is important in the Bears’ schedule, certain games can keep a team on a winning track or throw them off and into a ditch. The Bears have five games that stick out in terms of importance for having a great season and making the playoffs.

What are those five games, and why are they so important? What kind of impact would winning them have on the season?

Let’s find out.

Sunday, September 21st vs the Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are a highly talented team. Let’s face it, they have some great players on both sides of the ball. Hopefully, the Bears can be more competitive this season to start. Chicago should start to have things figured out by the time this game kicks off.
It promises to be a highly competitive contest and a good one.

The Bears need a win here to prove they can hang with one of the most talented teams in the league. It will be a tough test. But if they come in with good health and an offense and defense that are firing on all cylinders, they should be able to beat the Cowboys and get a little bit further on the path to becoming a better team.

Sunday, November 2nd at the Cincinnati Bengals

Quarterback Joe Burrow and the high-powered Cincinnati Bengals offense will face the Bears in early November in Cincinnati. This could be a great game depending on how healthy both teams are. Should the Bears have taken to Johnson’s offense by the time they play this game, this could be a shootout. That would make Bears fans happy even if Chicago loses.

If the Bengals don’t improve their defense, and the Bears defense ends up on its heels, this game could be one of the highest-scoring of the year. Wouldn’t it be something to see the Bears put up 40-plus points? When was the last time that happened? It’s going to be possible if the offense is firing on all cylinders heading into this game.

Sunday, November 23 vs the Pittsburgh Steelers

The reason that I have this game here isn’t because the Bears will have the opportunity to face former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers, who is going to sign with the Steelers, will be the big draw, but he’s not the reason why this game is important.

The reason why this game will be important on the schedule is that the Bears and the Steelers are teams likely headed in opposite directions. The Bears should be on their way up while the Steelers are probably going to struggle in 2025, even with Rodgers at quarterback. This will, hopefully, be a perfect example of the Bears on the rise playing against a team that’s started to slowly drop off and lose their edge.

It also puts two proud franchises against one another. The Bears should be able to win this one even with Rodgers at quarterback. A little extra revenge against Rodgers might be a good thing, too!!

Friday, November 28, at the Philadelphia Eagles

Hopefully, it won’t be a real black Friday for the Bears when they travel to Philadelphia to face the Super Bowl champion Eagles the day after Thanksgiving. If the Bears are finally firing on all cylinders, it’s going to be a great contest. But you can believe that the Eagles are going to be yet another talented team with a lot going right for them in 2025.

We should expect the Eagles to be good again this season, so the Bears will have their work cut out for themselves. But if Williams is healthy and playing to his vast potential, there is no reason why the Bears couldn’t win this game. Consider this game an important litmus test as to what Chicago will be able to do against top NFL teams. A win here might help propel them into a playoff spot and provide them with better playoff positioning. A loss would show us that the Bears still have some work to do.

Sunday, January 4 vs the Detroit Lions

The Bears will end the season against the Detroit Lions. This is a game that could determine playoff positioning for both teams. This will be their second meeting, and it promises to be a great one. Why? We all know that Bears’ head coach Ben Johnson was the offensive coordinator of the Lions. That alone makes this one of the more important games to watch during the final week of the season.

By this time, we will know if the Bears are for real or not. It’s the final game of the season. The Bears will either be sitting in a good position for a playoff spot or down in the doldrums, where they are used to being. Some think the Bears will be good in 2025 and play beyond expectations. We can only hope this is the case.

This final game of the season could be a bit of a bloodbath. Johnson will want to play well against his old team, and his old team will want to play well against him. This will be the second game they play against one another during the season. This one will be outside, in early January, at cold Soldier Field. Will that give the Bears an advantage? Or will Detroit be red-hot, heading to the playoffs, and playing better than the Bears?

It will be interesting to see where the Bears are in this, the final game of the 2025 season.
