The Chicago Bears 2025 Schedule Release Review

A Look at the Top Games for the Chicago Bears in the 2025 Season

The 2025 NFL schedule has been released, and the Chicago Bears are set to play one of the toughest schedules in the league. With opponents like the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders, Minnesota Vikings (twice), and the Detroit Lions (twice), Chicago has its work cut out for itself.

But there is a bright light ahead for the Bears, and it starts with head coach Ben Johnson. The Bears’ biggest offseason acquisition, Johnson, is sure to turn things around and make Chicago a much better team in 2025. The offense is loaded, and the defense should be much better under defensive coordinator Dennis Allen.

It’s easy to say that the Bears will be much better in 2025 than they were in 2024. Perhaps even a lot better.
However, the Bears play a tough schedule in 2025 that might not be conducive to a lot of wins. They have the second-toughest schedule in the entire league. That’s going to make it extremely difficult for the Bears to win a lot of games. But they may surprise some folks.

Many believe that they will.

The Toughest Games

There aren’t many games in the NFL that aren’t tough. None of them will be a cakewalk. The Bears certainly don’t have any games that we will consider easy. They have some very difficult games on the schedule against some very difficult opponents.

One of the toughest games on the schedule comes on Black Friday in November as the Bears will face the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. This promises to be a matchup that will either be a one-sided affair or one of the best of the season. Two games against the mighty Detroit Lions will put the former Lions’ offensive coordinator, Johnson, against his old team. The drama will be high, and the games will be fierce.

Of course, any game between the Bears and the Green Bay Packers is going to be a must-watch high-intensity contest. With the recent rivalry developing between the two head coaches, these games promise to be some of the most intense of the season between any two teams. The Bears will likely split the series with the Packers in 2025.

Chicago’s games against the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens are going to be tough ones. Hopefully, the Bears will be able to beat both teams and show that they can hang with the ultra-talented teams of the NFL. Remember that former Bears head coach Matt Eberflus is now the Cowboys’ defensive coordinator. Expect a little bit of motivation on both sides in this game.

The Easier Games

I did say that there aren’t any “easy” games in the NFL, and this is true. But for the Bears, there may be a handful of games that they can win to keep pace with the rest of the teams in their division. The Las Vegas Raiders are a team in transition and should be one that the Bears should be able to beat, provided they have everything together on both sides of the ball by the 4th week of the season.

The Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, and San Francisco 49ers are on the slate, and the Bears should be just a bit better than those teams. Look for them to win three out of four of those games, with the tricky one coming against the Bengals. Joe Burrow could give the Bears some fits.

Chicago may have some trouble with that one.

The New Orleans Saints come to Soldier Field in week seven, and with their current quarterback situation, could be somewhat easy fodder for the Bears.

Speaking of quarterback situations, the Pittsburgh Steelers will come to Chicago in week 12. If they finally manage to get Aaron Rodgers, the game will become top billing. It will be a showdown between Rodgers and the team he beat often during his time in Green Bay. If Rodgers is the Steelers’ quarterback, the Bears will be highly motivated to beat him and Pittsburgh.

Finally, you have the Cleveland Browns, who will be looked at as somewhat of a sideshow this season. By the time they meet the Bears in week 15, they should have their quarterback situation figured out. It will be somewhat interesting to see what’s going on with Cleveland then. The Bears might need to win for playoff positioning.

How Many Wins Will the Bears Get?

The Bears aren’t going to magically turn things around in one season. However, they should be much more competitive and get more wins this season. Just how many will they get?

Several prognosticators are guessing around nine wins. Looking at the schedule and if everyone stays healthy, which will never happen, this writer believes that the Bears are going to win nine games, while losing eight and they will miss the playoffs.

The Bears will be much better in 2026 and will land in the playoffs.
